Long story short: sold the H-1 bought a Golf station wagon and staked out the course like this in my mind. Oah, what a trip it would be!

Lesson 1 learned: Don’t try to drive through three countries with outdated maps on your GPS when you are as lost as I am when it comes to navigation..

Got lost right after Oslo, and found myself on the way to Karlstad… So I thought, why not try out some of my original plan of heading down through Denmark and into Germany…

Lesson 2 learned: driving for hours and hours alone on a hot summer day is not as idyllic as it may seem daydreaming in your office on a dull day…

Took a detour through (Fucking)Åmål(which I wanted to do since I saw the movie many years ago) Learned that the movie was actually shot in another town. And that they have one of Scandinavia’s biggest jazz festivals which are held there every year. Which I just missed by a day. Spent the night there in a tent on a football field that I hoped would not be full of soccer players the next morning. Got lost in the woods there the next morning and drove on…

After some really hot hours in the car I reached Gothenburg, got bored and drove home. That’s the short story, the long one involves Uddevalla , my friend Roar, a blues festival and too much beer.

So this winter and the following spring will be used to prepare. I decided to blog about it so I have a journal of it all. And maybe someone even finds some inspiration to do something simalar themself.

Status so far: After about two weeks of scaning finn.no(Norwegian market place) for a suiteable car I ended up buying a Hyundai H-1 2002 model. Mostly because the price was low and they are said to be durable. The engine are also not half bad I have read.

So now I’m planing the interior. Not much space, so a bed, a little table and some storage cabinets is pretty much what I can squeze in. Also researching the possibility to have a power system to power a laptop etc.

More on that later.. =)

But my question for all the people that rally up against this injustice to animals:  What about the systematic mistreatement of animals that are the meat industry?

I bet most of them eat meat whitout even thinking about the poor excuse of a life the cow they are eating have lived.

I’m not a vegeterian myself, but I’m not the founder or member of any groups like the ones mentioned either..

Just a thought.. and I also want to say I hate groups like: “Help the -put name of helpless/poor group of people/animals here-  ” They dosent help anyone do they? You can argue that they raise awareness about the issue, but I say they give people a false sense of engagement.

Another thing I really hate on facebook is the stupid test that some people take.

For example:

Which colour are you?

What kind of chocolate are you?

I mean, come on! Read a blog instead if you have nothing better to do!
